This work was firstly intended as a homage to the composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. I have always held his music for film and his collaborations (specially his albums with Alva Noto) in very high regard.

Sobre la perpetuidad pays homage to a work by Sakamorto that has always been very dear to me: the piano trio version of Bibō no aozora (美貌の⻘空), which was featured in a film by one of my most esteemed contemporary directors, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Babel.
